Job Summary

Operate pumps, compressors, and heavy equipment to clean hazardous, non-hazardous, and food-grade tanker trailers while adhering to strict health and safety protocols. Handle various hand and powered industrial tools, including pressure washers, and perform on-site remediation, de-contamination, and equipment maintenance. Assist in field sampling activities, monitor cleaning solution strengths, and execute non-permit confined space entries for inspections. Drive yard tractors to move units and couple/uncouple trailers, ensuring all tasks meet DOT regulations and EPA waste codes. Work extended shifts in varying temperatures and noise levels, reporting mechanical failures immediately to the supervisor.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Six or more months industry-related experience
Must be 18 years of age or older
Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
Solid communication skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work with little supervision
Proven skill to be flexible and adapt to change
Strong customer service orientation; ensure needs and deadlines are met in a timely fashion
Demonstrate a positive, proactive and motivated attitude
Proven focus on continuous improvement in the workplace
Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced organization
Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs
Ability to climb ladders and or stairs for cleaning duties
Ability to work extended (> 8 hrs.) time periods

Ability to operate light and heavy equipment including but not limited to pumps, compressors, boilers, bobcats, forklift, etc
Ability to handle various hand tools and powered industrial tools, including pressure washers
Ability to ensure proper use of equipment and immediately notify supervisor of any mechanical failure or problem of equipment
Ability to adhere to and ensure compliance with Health & Safety Compliance and regulations
Ability to wear and properly use a variety of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
Ability to assist in field sampling activities and calibration of meters
Ability to perform additional duties as assigned
Ability to report directly to The Tank Wash Manager
Ability to perform non-permit confined space entries for inspections and sometimes cleaning
Ability to perform parts removal and replacement on customer's equipment
Ability to perform frequent draining into and carrying of buckets
Ability to connect and disconnect of hoses
Ability to perform frequent pressure washing
