Job Summary
Diagnose failures and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other systems of tank trailers. Execute tank service and repair, including trailer suspension installation. Inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards, specifically HM183 and hazmat requirements. Maintain proficiency in air brake systems and utilize TIG welding for aluminum, stainless, or carbon applications. Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Griffin, GA location.
Required Qualifications
- DOT inspection certified
- 3 to 5 years of tanker repair experience
- Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas: The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer
- Tank service and repair
- Trailer suspension installation and repair
- Experience with air brake systems and repairs
- Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
Desired Qualifications
- TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
