Job Summary
Diagnose failures and repair mechanical, electrical, or other systems on tank trailers, including Betts valves, gaskets, suspension, and air brake systems. Utilize handheld diagnostic tools and tablets while performing TIG welding on aluminum, stainless, or carbon materials. Inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat) and assist in lifting up to 50 pounds or moving 75 pounds with help. Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM at 615 Petro Cove, West Memphis, AR.
Required Qualifications
- DOT registered inspector
- 3+ years of tank trailer repair experience
- Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas: The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer
- Tank service and repair, Betts valves, gaskets
- Trailer suspension installation and repair
- Experience with air brake systems and repairs
- Ability to use handheld diagnostic tools, tablets, basic tech skills
- TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience
- Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with assistance
- Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
Desired Qualifications
- Resources to become a national board ASME certified welder
