Job Summary
Diagnose failures and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other systems of tank trailers. Execute tank service and trailer suspension installation and repair. Inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards, including HM183 and hazmat requirements. Repair air brake systems and utilize TIG welding for aluminum, stainless, or carbon applications. Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM at our Griffin, GA location. This role supports Depot Connect International's global network of over 160 locations, providing mission-critical services to a unified team of industry leaders.
Required Qualifications
- DOT inspection certified
- 3 to 5 years of tanker repair experience
- Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas: The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer
- Tank service and repair
- Trailer suspension installation and repair
- Experience with air brake systems and repairs
- Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with assistance
- Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
Desired Qualifications
- TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
