Job Summary
Tank & Piping Integrity Engineer to join Bureau Veritas Industrials team in Murarrie, QLD, focusing on integrity assessments of aboveground storage tanks and piping, with hands-on site involvement, client engagement, and leadership in safety-critical environments. Responsibilities include integrity assessments per API/API AS standards, fitness-for-service assessments per API 579, data analysis (ultrasonic testing, MFL, settlement surveys, corrosion mapping), developing repair methodologies, providing engineering support for tank and piping integrity, inspection planning and technical assurance, and delivering clear engineering reports and client recommendations. Requires Chartered Engineer (CPEng), degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, minimum 5 years’ experience, familiarity with API 653/AS 1692/AS 1940, understanding of Australian Dangerous Goods Code, and willingness to travel to client sites. Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) – mandatory
- RPEQ – highly preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in tank and/or piping integrity engineering
- Strong knowledge of API 653, AS 1692, and relevant integrity standards
- Good understanding of Australian Dangerous Goods Code and regulatory framework
- Experience in repair methodology development and assessment
