Job Summary
Conduct tank cleaning and polishing for aboveground and underground storage tanks across retail, commercial, and industrial settings. Monitor and control equipment instruments, verify proper function, and record data, gauge levels, and test results. Draw product samples to ensure standards are met while diagnosing minor fuel system repairs and resolving safety or efficiency issues. Handle petroleum substances with attention to detail, adhering to all safety policies and PPE requirements. Travel up to 90% of the time, including multiple nights away from home, working in all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work at medium heights
- Ability to crouch, bend, and kneel
- Good driving record
- Willingness to travel
- Willingness to be away from home multiple nights in a row
- Ability to work in all types of weather
- Mechanical and/or electrical knowledge
- Ability to use hand tools
- Ability to monitor and control equipment and instruments
- Ability to verify proper equipment function
- Ability to record data, gauge levels, record test results, and obtain instrument readings
- Ability to resolve conditions that may affect safety, efficiency, and product quality
- Ability to diagnose and perform minor repairs on fuel systems
- Ability to draw samples of products to monitor processes
- Ability to adhere to safety policies and practices
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to work under time constraints efficiently
