Job Summary

Full-time Tank Builder / Welder responsible for performing arc and torch cutting, gouging, and welding of tanks using 7018, 7024, 6010 SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc processes. Operates generators, compressors, torquers, grinders, and lifting equipment; uses tank shell buggies, scaffolding, ladders, and other gear. Conducts non-destructive quality examinations such as vacuum box tests, oil tests, and dye penetrant tests; uses gas monitors and safety equipment. Reads erection and fabrication drawings, plans welding sequences, and collaborates with crew members to repair, modify, and construct tanks following safety and training protocols. Equally emphasizes professional development, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards across nationwide projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Be eligible to work in the United States
  • Be willing to authorize background checks
  • Have no criminal convictions for dishonesty, sexual misconduct, violence, or acts of terrorism
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Be willing to authorize motor vehicle driving record checks
  • Be willing to submit to pre-hire, random, and post-incident drug and alcohol testing
  • Ability to weld is a plus
