Job Summary
Perform arc welding and torch cutting on tanks and related structures, using generators, compressors, tuggers, grinders, and other power tools; weld plate using 7018, 7024, 6010 SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc processes; operate lifting equipment and scaffolding; perform nondestructive testing such as vacuum box, oil, and dye penetrant tests; follow job safety analyses, site-specific safety training, and collaborate with crew members to plan fitting, repairing, and constructing tanks; read erection and fabrication drawings; maintain safety equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be able to lift 50 lbs
- Be eligible to work in the United States
- Be willing to authorize background checks
- Be willing to authorize motor vehicle driving record checks
- Be willing to submit to pre-hire, random, and post-incident drug and alcohol testing
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Welding experience or ability is a plus
