Job Summary
Tank Builder / Welder needed for nationwide projects with Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS). Day-to-day duties include arc and torch cutting, gouging, and welding plate using 7018, 7024, and 6010 SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc processes; operate generators, compressors, tuggers, grinders, and other power/air tools; use tank shell buggies, scaffolding, ladders, and other equipment; perform non-destructive tests such as vacuum box tests, dye penetrant tests, and oil tests; work with gas monitors, respirators, and safety gear; read detailed erection and fabrication drawings; plan welding/repair sequences; ensure safety through job safety analyses and site training; collaborate with crew members on nationwide tank construction and repair projects. 18+ with HS diploma or equivalent, US work eligibility, and willingness to undergo background checks and drug testing. Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be able to lift 50 lbs
- Be eligible to work in the United States
- Be willing to authorize background checks
- Be willing to submit to pre-hire, random, and post-incident drug and alcohol testing
- Be willing to authorize motor vehicle driving record checks
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Welding ability a plus
