Tank Builder / Welder (Nationwide)

Job Summary
Tank Builder / Welder performing arc and torch cutting and gouging, welding plate with 7018, 7024 and 6010 SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc (3 o’clock and goat/tractor), and using lifting equipment. Read detailed erection and fabrication drawings; plan the sequence of fitting up, welding, repairing, and constructing tanks. Conduct non-destructive quality examinations including vacuum box tests, oil tests, and dye penetrant tests. Operate generators, compressors, tuggers, grinders, tank shell buggies, scaffolding, ladders, and other specialty equipment; utilize gas monitors, respirators, and safety gear. Follow safety analyses and site-specific training; collaborate with crew members to complete projects nationwide. Requires communication, organization, problem-solving, reliable attendance, and a high school diploma or equivalent; eligible to work in the United States; background checks and drug/alcohol testing may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be eligible to work in the United States
- Be willing to authorize background checks
- Be willing to authorize motor vehicle driving record checks
- Be willing to submit to pre-hire, random, and post-incident drug and alcohol testing
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Be able to lift 50 lbs
- Be willing to work in a full-time role
- Be willing to comply with safety training and site-specific requirements
