Job Summary
Tank Builder / Welder responsibilities include arc and torch cutting and gouging, welding tanks using 7018/7024/6010 stick (SMAW), FCAW, and submerged arc welding, operating lifting gear (come-alongs, jacks, hoists, winches), and using tank-specific equipment (shell buggies, scaffolding, ladders). Read erection and fabrication drawings, plan fitting and construction sequences, perform non-destructive tests (vacuum box, oil, dye penetrant), use gas monitors and safety equipment, operate forklifts and lifts, and adhere to safety trainings. The role involves collaborating with crew members, following job safety analyses, and contributing to a nationwide tank construction team with opportunities for professional development and advancement. Location noted: Grants Pass, Oregon; full-time employment with standard benefits and equal opportunity employer statement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be able to lift 50 lbs
- Be eligible to work in the United States
- Be willing to authorize background checks
- Be willing to authorize motor vehicle driving record checks
- Be willing to submit to pre-hire, random, and post-incident drug and alcohol testing
