Job Summary
Full-time Tank Builder / Welder performing arc and torch cutting, welding plates with SMAW/FCAW, reading detailed erection and fabrication drawings, using tank shell buggies, scaffolding, and lifting equipment, and conducting non-destructive quality examinations (vacuum box tests, dye penetrant tests). Responsibilities include planning sequence of fitting up, repairing, and constructing tanks, complying with safety trainings and audits, operating generators and lifts, and collaborating with crew members on nationwide tank construction projects. Welding proficiency with 7018, 7024, 6010 (SMAW), FCAW, and submerged arc is a plus; willingness to undergo background checks and drug testing is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Be at least 18 years old
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Be willing to authorize background checks
- No criminal convictions for dishonesty, sexual misconduct, violence, or acts of terrorism
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Be willing to authorize motor vehicle driving record checks
- Be willing to submit to pre-hire, random, and post-incident drug and alcohol testing
- Welding ability is a plus
