Job Summary
Tank Builder / Welder position (Nationwide) performing arc and torch cutting, welding (7018/7024/6010 SMAW, FCAW, SAW), and related fabrication duties on above-ground metal storage tanks. Responsibilities include using generators, compressors, lifting equipment, tank shell buggies, and scaffolding; conducting non-destructive tests (oil tests, dye penetrant tests) and quality examinations; reading erection and fabrication drawings; planning fitting/repair sequences; adhering to job safety analyses and site-specific safety training; and collaborating with crew members on projects nationwide.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be able to lift 50 lbs
- Be willing to authorize background checks
- Be willing to authorize motor vehicle driving record checks
- Be willing to submit to pre-hire, random, and post-incident drug and alcohol testing
- Be eligible to work in the United States
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Be willing to work in a full-time capacity
- Be willing to work with welding equipment (7018, 7024, 6010 SMAW, FCAW, SAW)
- Be able to read detailed erection and fabrication drawings
- Be able to perform safety training and follow job safety analyses
- Have a valid driver’s license
- No criminal convictions for dishonesty, sexual misconduct, violence, or acts of terrorism
- Be willing to work with safety equipment and risk assessments
- Be willing to operate cranes and rigging equipment
