TalentED - Marketing Intern

Job Summary
Support email marketing and lead generation campaigns, assist with social media planning and content creation, and maintain website updates. Create written content, photos, and videos while researching trends to support broader marketing initiatives. Manage event coordination from preparation through post-event evaluation, including setup, registration, and attendee support. Work up to 20 hours weekly from September to December 2026. This role offers exposure to brand development and campaign planning within Calgary Economic Development's TalentED program, providing mentorship from senior staff.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field
- Be between 18 and 24 years of age
- minimum high school diploma
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organized with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or other related software
- Experience planning events
