Job Summary
Recruiter role in Tokyo (hybrid) responsible for full-cycle recruitment of technical and strategic talent to support Wayve's Japan growth and global partnerships. Partner with hiring managers and leadership to understand needs, develop talent strategies, and build diverse pipelines. Responsibilities include sourcing, screening, interviewing, extending offers, market insights, employer branding, and data-driven optimization of the hiring process using ATS. Requires 5+ years in recruitment, deep tech/AI experience, and bilingual Japanese-English communication.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of recruitment experience, ideally in deep tech, AI, autonomous vehicles, and fast-paced startups
- strong understanding of technical, product, and strategy-focused roles
- bilingual communication in Japanese and English
- meticulous attention to detail and strong time management
- proficiency with data to track progress and recruit metrics
- ability to collaborate with hiring managers, leadership, and cross-functional teams
- experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and driving a positive candidate experience
