Job Summary
Facilitate engaging virtual and in-person training sessions for direct care staff, leading groups of up to 50 participants across multiple states using platforms like Zoom and Teams. Conduct new employee orientations, deliver in-service training, and provide hands-on demonstrations of crisis intervention techniques while maintaining physical coordination for safety protocols. Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate resources, update data in the Learning Management System, and foster open communication regarding training needs. Balance 50% facilitation duties with administrative responsibilities to ensure compliance and effectiveness in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience or education related to staff training or in-service presentation
- Demonstrated success in conducting virtual or web-based training programs
- Physical coordination and skill, including the ability to maintain balance while moving or being pushed or pulled
- Ability to lower themselves into a half-squat position while keeping their back straight
- Ability to perform hands-on demonstrations of crisis intervention techniques
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SharePoint and virtual platforms such as Zoom, Teams, and GoToMeeting
- Must either currently hold or be able to obtain certifications in required training programs including Safety Care, CPR, CBRF First Aid (including choking), CBRF Fire Safety, CBRF Standard Precautions, CPI, MANDT, and any other state or Dungarvin-required programs
- Experience using Relias or Workday Learning
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
- Comfort leading sessions with up to 50 participants
- Confidently lead engaging and interactive online trainings for diverse audiences across multiple states
- Clearly convey information, build rapport, and maintain positive relationships at all organizational levels
- Effective decision-making, time management, and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team in a virtual setting
- Work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and proactively seek ways to improve training delivery and engagement
- Maintain composure, patience, and empathy when working with a variety of learning styles and personalities
- Must be available for night training schedule once a quarter (4PM - 12AM)
Desired Qualifications
