Job Summary
Build profitable shows by actively reaching out to agents, responding to inbound requests, and negotiating offer details with music agents. Create budgets, map scaling for venues, and compile documents to ensure all shows are settled accurately. Network with agents, artist management, and venue managers while acting as a liaison for insurance, claims, and contract follow-ups. Oversee marketing and ticketing to confirm show details and ensure events go on sale. Travel to cover road shows, festivals, and seek new clients, projects, and partners. Work with managers on festival projects and develop creative properties that can grow into annual events.
Required Qualifications
- 4-6 years of related work experience
- Previous experience in the music industry with demonstrated ability to assess current music trends
- Previous experience supervisor, leading, and/or mentoring team
- Knowledge of general accounting principles
- General understanding of ticketing systems
- Computer savvy and skilled in MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel); knowledge of social media platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must have an outgoing personality with the ability to build and cultivate relationships
- Exceptional negotiation skills with an ability to analyze complex documents
- Ability to work independently to perform job, as well as in a team environment
- Must have established contacts and relationships in the music industry
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks, even when dealing with shifting timelines and competing demands
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include nights, weekends and holidays
