Talent and Benefit Associate - Human Resource Services

Job Summary

Provide receptionist duties and clerical support for Human Resource Services, delivering excellent customer service to staff, physicians, volunteers, and the public. Administer the full recruitment cycle, labour and employee relations, and compensation and benefit functions while supporting various committees with agenda preparation and minutes. Manage workload tracking, grievance administration, and other employee and labour relations tasks. Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate diplomacy when handling sensitive situations. Full-time role requiring a relevant university/college program, one year of HR experience, and current knowledge of Ontario Employment Legislation. Certification in Human Resources is actively pursued. Based in Ontario; travel to any Mackenzie Health site may be required.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of a relevant university/college program
  • Actively working towards completion of Certification in Human Resources
  • Minimum one year working experience in Human Resources in areas of recruitment, benefits, compensation
  • Current knowledge of Ontario Employment Legislation (ESA), WSIB, Human Rights Code, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, Labour Relations Act, Occupational Health and Safety
  • Working knowledge of recruitment and selection process/techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative

Desired Qualifications

  • Health care experience
  • Experience working with Collective Agreements
  • Working knowledge of HRIS
