Job Summary
Talent Acquisition Specialist - 1 year contract responsible for end-to-end recruiting from sourcing to onboarding for a range of roles from skilled trades to management. Will coordinate internal transfers, contractor services and support HR operations across Canada/US with UKG HRIS, payroll guidance, onboarding activities, new hire documentation, benefits enrollment, and KPI reporting. Key duties include job description formatting, posting openings, candidate screening, first-round interviews, background checks, IT provisioning, security badges, timekeeping setup, and employee relations support. Requires ability to balance multiple departments, strong communication, attention to detail, confidentiality, and experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment. Education/experience assets include college-level certification/diploma, HR/recruiting education, CHRP designation (or pursuit), and experience recruiting across a full lifecycle in a manufacturing setting.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of related experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- College Certificate/Diploma or related work experience
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources and/or Recruiting considered an asset
- CHRP Designation considered an asset; or in the process of achieving designation
- Experience recruiting/interviewing skills on a range of positions in a full life-cycle environment
- Experience/exposure to a manufacturing environment, working with machinists, fabricators, and assemblers
- Some knowledge of Employment Standards across Ontario and/or Canada preferred
- Experience with HRIS/UKG or similar systems
- Strong communications and relationship-building skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-demand/high-volume roles
