Talent Acquisition Specialist

Job Summary
Post and maintain job openings across job boards and sourcing platforms, then conduct high-volume outbound outreach via calls, texts, and emails to engage trades candidates. Source talent through local job boards, referrals, community events, and trade networks, while reviewing applications and reaching out to qualified applicants. Partner with hiring managers to clarify role requirements, assist in updating job postings, and represent Kelso at career fairs and community outreach activities. Schedule interviews, send reminders, and keep all candidate information accurate and up to date in Greenhouse. Assist with background checks, reference checks, and offer preparation while managing multiple open roles and suggesting improvements to streamline the hiring process.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of recruiting experience supporting construction, skilled trades, industrial, manufacturing, or field-based roles (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, installation, maintenance, etc.)
- Comfort speaking directly with hourly, non-corporate candidates
- Willingness to pick up the phone, follow up consistently, and close candidates in competitive labor markets
- Experience using an ATS or similar system
- Strong communication and partnership skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel locally or regionally for hiring events, site visits, and meetings
