Talent Acquisition Compliance Specialist

Job Summary

Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local hiring regulations including OFCCP, EEOC, VEVRAA, Section 503, and ADA. Conduct regular audits of applicant tracking data, job postings, and hiring decisions to identify compliance gaps. Serve as the primary point of contact for OFCCP audits and inquiries, coordinating documentation and responses. Proactively identify gaps in existing Talent Acquisition policies and procedures, then develop, write, and implement policies to address those gaps. Regularly review and update existing policies to reflect changes in applicable laws, regulations, and business needs. Manage I-9 and E-Verify processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion. Oversee compliance requirements related to government contracts and security clearances. Maintain accurate records and documentation in the Applicant Tracking System. Partner with Legal to interpret new or changing employment legislation and implement process updates. Analyze recruitment data and prepare compliance reports for leadership. Advise on background check processes, ban-the-box laws, and state-specific requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in HR compliance, talent acquisition, or a related role
  • Working knowledge of OFCCP regulations, EEOC guidelines, and VEVRAA
  • Experience with I-9 administration and E-Verify
  • Familiarity with federal contractor compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated experience writing and implementing HR or compliance policies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
  • Blue's Standard Background Check
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ITAR and export control compliance as it relates to hiring
  • Proficiency with Workday ATS and HRIS system
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or government contracting industries
  • Experience managing OFCCP audits
  • Professional certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or related compliance certification
  • Familiarity with multi-state compliance requirements
