Takeoff Technician

Job Summary
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents to interpret requirements for heavy civil and roadway projects. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for earthwork, utilities, and roadway items using company software such as Agtek, Bluebeam, or HCSS. Input and update data into estimating systems while organizing bid documents and maintaining project files. Coordinate with estimators to verify quantities and material requirements, and support gathering supplier and subcontractor quotes. Assist in maintaining standardized takeoff templates and historical quantity databases. Full-time position with health, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits available.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in construction, civil engineering, or related field
- Familiarity with reading civil construction plans and performing basic measurements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Motivated to learn and grow in the construction estimating field
- Associate degree or coursework in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with takeoff or design software (Agtek, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, HCSS, or similar) is a plus
