Take-up Operator II (2nd Shift)

Job Summary
Operate coiler/spoolers and assist line operators with running machines, including changing reels and utilizing tagging systems to label reels. Perform minor adjustments and repairs while executing quality checks and reporting issues immediately to supervisors. Maintain 5S standards, conduct pre-operation safety inspections, and follow all safety procedures and job hazard analyses. Assist with line management and minor maintenance as assigned, rotating through equipment within the workgroup to maintain skill proficiency. Work the 2nd shift (M-F 2:50-11p) at the Villa Rica Plant, lifting up to 45 lbs in varying temperatures. A Southwire forklift license is required; bilingual Spanish is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must read, write, and speak English
- Must be able to stand and lift heavy loads for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs
- Must be able to follow instructions
- Must be able to work in hot and cold environments normally found in a prefabricated building without climate-control
