Job Summary
Tailoring & Outerwear Designer for Laura Ashley responsible for designing structured tailoring and outerwear, collaborating with Buyers, Merchandisers and Technologists; conceptualize seasonal ranges; gather global inspiration; ensure immaculate tailoring details and premium construction through fit sessions with garment technologists and pattern cutters; produce CADs, technical packs and design layouts under fast-paced timelines; design to cost within established price points; work cross-functionally with buying, merchandising and external manufacturing partners to deliver cohesive ranges on time; require expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; portfolio submission is required for consideration; sponsorship information available for candidates meeting Home Office requirements; role is onsite in Leicester, UK.
Required Qualifications
- Portfolio demonstrating tailoring and outerwear design
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Experience with external factories, brands, or suppliers in a fashion retail environment
