Job Summary
Conduct complex alterations on tailored and flu pieces by interpreting pinning instructions, dismantling garments, performing precise repairs, and assembling finished items. Assist fitting tailors during client fittings or conduct fittings independently when needed. Maintain workshop performance by adhering to lead times, paperwork, and scheduling while organizing work according to technical briefs. Inspect finishes and correct defects, ensuring all alterations meet CHANEL standards without distorting creative intent. Collaborate with the team, share knowledge, and support workload peaks.
Required Qualifications
- Academic training about clothing and Fashion design or apprenticeship in tailoring or equivalent
- At least 5 years' experience as a tailor with basic to advanced alteration skills
- Past experience in an international fashion House
- Strong woven and flou Couture skills
- knowledge of sewing, construction of pieces and fabrics
- understanding of garment construction and Couture
- Strongly aware of Fashion and products
- Good knowledge of different materials
- Complete knowledge of sewing machines
