Job Summary
Tai Chi Group Exercise Instructor teaches group exercise classes at the LECOM Medical Fitness & Wellness Center. Responsibilities include delivering scheduled Tai Chi group sessions with appropriate modifications, ensuring safety by understanding contraindicated movements, maintaining certifications, arriving early for setup, reporting equipment needs, recording attendance, adhering to schedules, delivering engaging experiences, and supporting departmental goals. Requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred), a group exercise instructor certification (NCCA accreditation preferred for certain formats), CPR/AED certification within 90 days, and a minimum of 2 years of group class instruction experience. In-person role with hourly compensation and part-time scheduling; location: Erie, PA.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Group Exercise instructor certification required
- NCCA accreditation preferred for specialty class instruction (Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, etc)
- CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire
- Minimum 2 years of group class instruction experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and maintain professional demeanor
