Job Summary
Design, install, integrate, and maintain tactical and strategic communications networks supporting military operations; lead engineering design, development, integration, installation, operation, and maintenance of the WIN-T network; collaborate to translate Operational Need Statements and CPD into standards-based technical solutions; provide technical support in labs and during testing; leverage virtualization and storage technologies; apply Cisco IOS/NX-OS, ISE, UCS, ASA, and routing protocols; produce and maintain technical documentation, requirements, specifications, and plans; strong teamwork in a fast-paced, defense-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Testing, or a related field
- Active Secret security clearance
- 6+ years of tactical network engineering experience (military or similar environment)
- Bachelor's degree can be substituted with an additional 5 years of related experience
- Experience with network design, integration, and troubleshooting in military environments
- Knowledge of DISN and GIG networks
- Experience with WIN-T network engineering and related data/voice/video/telephony integration
- Familiarity with Cisco IOS, NX-OS, ISE, UCS, ASA, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP, EIGRP)
- Ability to develop network architecture for multiple units and interfaces
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to travel ~75%
