Job Summary
Network Engineer III to design, integrate, and maintain tactical and strategic communications networks that support military operations. Responsible for designing, planning, installing, integrating, and sustaining backbone core-area tactical and strategic networks including DISN and GIG elements; gathering requirements from Operational Need Statements and CPDs; developing network architectures for various units and interfaces; leading engineering design, integration, installation, operation, and maintenance of the WIN-T network; providing technical documentation, assessments, and reports; delivering technical support in equipment labs; and applying virtualization/storage and Cisco technologies to support mission-critical communications in a defense environment. The role requires strong collaboration, analytical skills, and experience with military-grade networking and security practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Testing, or a related field
- Six (6) years of related tactical network engineering experience
- Military network knowledge and certifications preferred (e.g., CCNP or similar)
- Active Secret clearance required
- 75% travel
- Experience with DISN, GIG, WIN-T, and related military communications networks
- Proficiency with Cisco IOS, NXOS, ISE, UCS, ASA, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP, EIGRP)
