Job Summary
TacMobile PGS System Administrator to provide advanced IT and systems administration support for U.S. Navy TacMobile P-8A PGS equipment in both classified and unclassified networks. Responsibilities include system administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and user support with minimal supervision; secure administration of classified and unclassified networks; configuring and managing VMware, SQL, Exchange, Office 365, VoIP, CROWBAR, Adder, and SharePoint; supporting Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) and Communications Security (COMSEC); training users and developing training materials; collaborating with shore TOCRON and deployed TOC commands to sustain mission readiness; and serving as an instructor for system operations. Travel up to 25% annually (CONUS/OCONUS); on-site work required. The role emphasizes DoD/Navy IT standards, DoD IA considerations, and strong collaboration and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field; 10+ years of IT experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's
- 8+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years directly supporting TacMobile IT networks/systems and 3+ years supporting PGS systems
- Strong expertise in computer security, system administration, and network troubleshooting
- Experience in classified environments supporting DoD or U.S. Navy IT systems
- DoD 8570 IAT-II compliance, required (e.g., Security+ CE and an OS certification, e.g., Linux or Windows)
