Job Summary
Tackle Dept Manager at Turner’s Outdoorsman leads department operations under the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, driving sales, customer satisfaction, and profitability while modeling Turner’s brand and culture. Responsibilities include training sales/cashier staff, managing stock and displays, placing/following up on orders, auditing records, and covering shifts as needed. The role requires tackle knowledge, strong communication and customer service skills, the ability to lead by example, and comfort working in a firearms environment. Occasional travel may be required; typical hours are at least 45 per week with possible overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED required; college experience preferred
- Must have at least 2 years of prior retail and sales experience in a lead position
- Knowledge about Hunting, Fishing/Tackle, & Shooting Sports
- Legally eligible to work in a firearms environment
- Must be 18 years or older
- Customer service experience
- Fluent in English
