Job Summary
Conduct advanced layout, fit-up, and precision tack welding on complex metal assemblies using detailed blueprints and specifications. Execute high-accuracy alignments of tubing, micro-fits, and flanges while applying straightening and heat-shrinkage techniques to correct distortion. Troubleshoot fit-up issues, identify root causes, and mentor junior tackers on layout standards and workmanship. Collaborate with welders and inspectors to maintain workflow and ensure all outputs meet strict quality, safety, and customer specifications in a cleanroom environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of related experience in manufacturing/aerospace/engineering industry
- Able to comprehend electrical / mechanical drawings
- Able to work in cleanroom environment; wearing jumpsuits, safety helmet and safety shoes
- NITEC / Higher NITEC/ Professional Certificate or its equivalent
- Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics /Mechatronics/Engineering
