TAC Officer: Female Cadet Residential Assignment

Job Summary

Provide direct supervision and leadership to female cadets in residential areas, enforcing policies, standards, and procedures while documenting counseling, incidents, and corrective actions. Conduct room and barracks inspections, accountability checks, and health, safety, or welfare responses, responding promptly to routine and emergency situations that may involve legitimate cadet privacy interests. Mentor battalion and company leadership teams on ethical decision-making, military customs, and GMC values, while monitoring study habits, attendance, and academic performance to support retention. Assist with planning battalion-level training, executing formations and ceremonies, and managing administrative records for discipline and accountability. Represent the Corps during recruiting, orientation, and campus events. A criminal background check is required before employment. This role supports the Georgia Military College Corps of Cadets under the Deputy Commandant of Cadets.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or recognized equivalent
  • Former Law Enforcement / First Responder, High School Teacher with at least five years of experience or successful completion of at least one military enlistment followed by an honorable discharge, current service in the United States National Guard or Reserve
  • Demonstrated military leadership, supervisory, training, counseling, or personnel-accountability experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate records
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related systems
  • Ability to work varied shifts and participate in physical fitness activities
  • Ability to wear the appropriate military uniform
  • Criminal background check must be cleared before any candidate may begin working

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Ten or more years of military, Law Enforcement / First Responder, or High School Teacher with progressively responsible leadership experience in leadership positions
  • Experience as a Drill Sergeant, military instructor, trainer, or leader in a residential, educational, or youth-development environment
  • Experience counseling, mentoring, or supervising college-age, high-school individuals or young adults
  • Strong conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in residential, educational, or military environment
