Job Summary

Tableau Developer responsible for guiding dashboard development from kickoff through design and implementation, connecting Tableau to Oracle/MS SQL Server and other data sources, and delivering high-quality dashboards on a fast-paced cycle. Role includes mentoring the internal team, enabling self-service analytics for Medicaid users, performing Tableau admin tasks, coordinating production deployments, and conducting demos to Medicaid stakeholders. Requires 2+ years lead Tableau development, strong SQL, experience with Cognos/SAS/QlikView, and ability to define governance and dashboard standards. Location-based on-site Pittsburgh, PA; W2/Contract engagement with starting salary around $60,000 per year plus benefits and relocation allowance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 2+ years of Tableau development lead experience
  • At least 2+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle and MS SQL Server
  • Strong SQL development experience
  • Experience prototyping and designing dashboard mockups and presentations to customers
  • Ability to define, document and articulate dashboard processes and governance
  • Experience delivering dashboards in Tableau and other visualization tools like QlikView or SAS
  • Experience with source control (e.g., TFS)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced development cycle
  • Ability to mentor internal development team and promote self-service analytics to Medicaid users
  • Experience with dashboard deployment, production coordination, and user management
  • Experience working with Medicaid stakeholders
  • Knowledge of data sources and data preparation tasks
  • Prototyping, design and dashboard artifacts creation
