Job Summary
Deal a variety of table games, receive house collection as needed, and distribute cards while accepting wagers and performing cash and chip transactions. Announce and push, pay, or collect wagers according to established procedures to maximize revenue. Maintain game integrity by applying up-to-date knowledge of game procedures, asset protection, and house rules, informing players of rules as needed, and summoning Floor Supervisors for game-related decisions. Welcome and interact with guests in a friendly, courteous manner to provide assistance and information. Must be 21 years or older, hold a dealing school certificate, and possess working knowledge of various table game rules and protection processes. Ability to stand for up to eight hours, work in a smoking environment, and perform any shift or overtime. Hourly pay at Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation's casino floor.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age or over to work on the gaming floor
- Certificate of completion from an accredited and/or recognized Dealing School and or experience dealing blackjack and/or various other table games
- Working knowledge of various table games rules and procedures
- Working knowledge of various table games game protection processes
- Basic knowledge of game protection procedures
- Ability to shuffle and deal cards repetitively
- Ability to deal rapidly and effectively
- Ability to cut chips quickly and accurately
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Ability to stand for up to eight hours at a time
- Ability to work in a smoking environment
- Ability to accept constructive criticism
- Ability to appear for work on time
- Ability to work any shift
- Ability to work overtime
