Job Summary
TAB Technician (Testing, Adjusting, Balancing) performs hands-on testing, adjusting, and balancing of HVAC air and hydronic systems to meet project specifications. Responsibilities include inspecting systems for compliance with plans, identifying performance issues, reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and control schematics, and accurately documenting all TAB activities using project-specific reporting procedures. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong math skills, ability to read technical documents and SOWs, and the capability to work independently with attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong math skills, including calculations related to air and water balancing
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, specifications, control schematics, and equipment data
- Ability to document testing, adjusting, and balancing activities accurately
- NEBB or AABC certification preferred but not required
