Job Summary
Inspect and maintain electrical equipment including fuses, power panels, motor starters, and variable frequency drives by checking voltage, continuity, and amperage. Troubleshoot electrical problems using wiring diagrams and HMI panels while monitoring equipment performance and listening for calls on a two-way radio. Perform calibration of relays, flow controllers, scales, and temperature controllers, and repair scales by rebuilding load cells. Wire and unwire motors, lubricate parts according to established schedules, and requisition replacement parts from storage. Train apprentices and pre-apprentices as required, and assist equipment operators in predicting operating problems. Work 2nd shift (2:30pm-11:00p) on a fixed 8-hour schedule with availability for overtime, holidays, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- 3 to 5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience
- Associate's degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Maintenance or Electronic Technology
- 2 years of Industrial Maintenance Experience
- Ability to work 2nd shift shift (2:30pm-11:00p) on a fixed 8-hour schedule
- Available to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed
- Aptitude for electrical and mechanical maintenance
- Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate
- Effective communication skills (Oral and written)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites
- SAP Expert Level
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- Basic understanding of AC/DC circuits
- Understanding of motor ratings
- Basic electrical wiring skills
- Ability to demonstrate aptitude through aptitude testing, observation, hands-on evaluation, verbal, and/or written tests
