Job Summary
Act as a hands-on development lead guiding the team through implementation of large-scale backend services and batch processes using Java, Spring Boot, and Databricks. Write optimized SQL for data transformation, perform tuning across relational databases, and conduct code reviews to enforce development standards. Own day-to-day execution including task planning, delivery tracking, and root-cause analysis for production issues. Partner with QA and DevOps to ensure test coverage, CI/CD pipeline stability, and high-quality releases. Mentor globally distributed developers while supporting modernization initiatives to migrate legacy workloads.

- Spring Boot technologies
- Understanding of the Databricks platform
- SQL skills with experience in data transformation and performance tuning
- Experience in Unix/Linux environments
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and deployment processes
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including development, testing, release, and production support
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
- Proven ability to lead and mentor globally distributed development teams
- Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in financial services or regulated enterprise environments
- Exposure to AWS supporting Databricks and backend workloads
- Experience supporting mission-critical, high-availability production systems
