Job Summary
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot SURTASS mission equipment aboard a government SURTASS asset; perform PMS-driven maintenance, support SHF SATCOM, processing, and sonar systems; deploy and retrieve array evolutions, maintain logs and records, assist program managers and STA, and participate in compliance training; work in a shipboard, small-team environment with collaboration among active-duty military, defense contractors, and government personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Computer Science or Electronics Technology or graduate of US Navy Electronics “C” school or equivalent civilian Electronics Technical school
- DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification
- Operating System certification
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent
- proficiency with network computers
- familiarity with operational, schematics, and maintenance publications
- effective communication skills
- ability to obtain a valid U.S. passport
- fitness for seagoing work (Mariner's Physical) per COMSCINST 6000.l.c
- ability to maintain a Top Secret clearance eligibility
- Secret Clearance required
