Job Summary
Conduct aerodynamic and aero-thermal design analysis for the T-7A flight vehicle to ensure compliance with requirements. Develop new technologies and tools to enhance technology readiness while improving vehicle performance and reducing cycle time. Coordinate test requirements and assess regulatory impacts on cost, performance, and safety. Compute mission, take-off, landing, and turn performance parameters across various day types and jet configurations. Generate flight-manual quality plots, including complex chase-around-type plots, and produce first-time quality data products. Correct flight test data to standard conditions and generate documentation for customer deliverables. Collaborate with senior engineers to support flight testing and future variant development within the Flight Engineering Capability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 5+ years work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
- An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements
- U.S. Person status (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
Desired Qualifications
- 9+ years work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education
- Aerospace engineering degree
- Python experience
- Wind tunnel test experience
