Job Summary
Operate power tools and environmental housekeeping equipment while performing manual labor indoors and out in all weather conditions. Execute routine tasks including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, window cleaning, and conference room setups to maintain cleanliness of classrooms, offices, and restrooms. Perform minor repairs, assemble furniture, and conduct preventative maintenance on custodial tools. Keep chemicals secured and properly stored, reporting facility components needing repairs to the head custodian. Maintain work areas such as closets and supply rooms, and adhere to all safety rules and drug/alcohol testing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Georgia driver's license
- Experience working with a diverse group of people
- Must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function of the position
- Must be able to provide a criminal background check with results that adhere to Bulloch County Board of Education Policy GAK(1)
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledgeable of how to operate and maintain floor clearing equipment
- Familiar with the use of chemicals and chemical storage responsibilities (MSDS requirements)
