Syteline Material Planner

Job Summary

Monitor shortages, planned orders, supplier dates, and planning exceptions in Infor SyteLine APS to maintain accurate material plans. Run daily and weekly planning activities, validate results against customer orders, and trace supply through multi-level bills of material to recommend purchase, job, or expedite actions. Maintain time-phased plans, planning data, and inventory levels while driving shortage lists to closure. Coordinate with buyers on supplier commitments, participate in S&OP meetings, and escalate risks to the Master Planner. This experienced individual-contributor role supports the Master Planner in a complex, high-mix production environment for a growing manufacturer.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in material planning, production planning, purchasing, inventory control, or supply chain within electronics, computer hardware, medical devices, defense, or another complex discrete-manufacturing environment
  • Working experience with Infor SyteLine / CloudSuite Industrial APS, MRP, or a comparable advanced planning system
  • Practical understanding of planned orders, exception messages, bills of material, routings, lead times, safety stock, order policies, and inventory transactions
  • Experience supporting multi-level bills of material, variable component lead times, constrained supply, and high-mix/low-volume production
  • Strong Excel and data-analysis skills
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple priorities

Desired Qualifications

  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification, or progress toward certification
  • Hands-on experience with Infor SyteLine APS planning runs, planned orders, exception messages, and demand tracing
  • Experience in regulated, long-lifecycle, customer-configured, or electronics manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of S&OP, lean manufacturing, Theory of Constraints, or structured continuous-improvement methods
