Job Summary
Plan, test, troubleshoot, and maintain OSI software products by designing and executing test methods to verify system requirements. Write high-quality test plans, procedures, and cases for functional, application, regression, and performance testing while performing formal manual and exploratory testing at feature, component, and system levels. Create, implement, and adapt automated and manual tests, participate in peer reviews, and maintain procedures in the version control repository. Troubleshoot, resolve, and document test issues by raising defects in bug tracking software and investigating Software Change Requests and customer tickets. Travel to customer sites and shore facilities to support integrated system testing and acceptance events, ensuring safety and security concerns are prioritized and corrected. Commit to project objectives, schedules, and budgets while obtaining required security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mathematics, or a related field
- 0–2 years in a software environment
- required experience testing real-time interfaces to external systems
- ISO 9001-compliant software engineering, defense, or aerospace experience is an asset
- Experience testing software on Windows and Linux is highly desirable
- 2D/3D graphics, Python, TCP/IP, UDP, and real-time systems experience are desirable
