Job Summary
Systems Technician supporting government, defense, and intelligence projects. Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of information systems hardware; Unix and Windows hardware support; install and upgrade computers, printers, scanners, phones and other hardware; conducts back-end device configuration and network systems administration; coordinates deployment of deliverables and products; maintains security settings and protocols; operates on a 12-hour shift (5PM–5AM) with weekends/holidays as needed; capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and maneuvering in tight spaces to run fibers; onsite role in Springfield, VA with potential travel; requires TS/SCI with polygraph clearance and DoD IA certification; salary range approximately $34-$46/hour equivalent to $70,720–$95,280 annually depending on experience and location.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Associates of Arts/Associates of Science
- Experience: 5+ years of related experience
- Technical skills: Understanding of desktop computers, thin clients, servers, VoIP phones, video conferencing, cabling standards, installation, systems administration, testing equipment, and ITIL best practices
- Certification: DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification; CompTIA Security+ CE as minimum
- Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph; US citizenship required
