Job Summary
Systems Technician responsible for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of information systems hardware and related peripherals in support of critical government/defense/intelligence projects. Responsibilities include Unix/Windows hardware support, installing/upgrading computers, printers, scanners, phones, and other hardware; configuring devices, managing security settings and protocols; coordinating deployment of deliverables; supporting multiple critical network systems; tracking project work items; and operating on a 12-hour shift from 5PM to 5AM with weekends/holidays as needed. Requires 5+ years of related experience, an Associate degree, TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance, DoD IA knowledge, and CompTIA Security+ CE certification. Must be capable of lifting up to 75lbs and maneuvering through tight spaces to pull/run fibers, with onsite work in Springfield, VA and 10-25% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Associates of Arts/Associates of Science
- Experience: 5+ years of related experience
- Technical skills: Understanding of desktop computers, thin clients, servers, VoIP phones, video conferencing, cabling standards, installation, systems administration, testing equipment, and ITIL best practices
- Security clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
- US citizenship required
- Role requirements: Privileged User access with monitoring and security procedures
- Certification: CompTIA Security+ CE minimum
