Job Summary
Support proprietary Windows software, configure Ethernet networks, and safely mount/install hardware solutions like POE cameras and monitors at customer sites. Run cabling infrastructure within facilities and assist clients with technical issues via phone and on-site visits. Provide formal and informal training for installed solutions and maintain 24/7 on-call support on a rotating one-week-out-of-six-weeks basis. Frequent domestic and occasional global travel (75% typical) is required. Learn fire alarm systems and code fundamentals to support core business operations.
Required Qualifications
- A.A. Degree in a Technical Field (or equivalent technical experience)
- Technology and/or networking troubleshooting background
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Strong writing, verbal, and customer communication skills
- Trustworthy and possess the ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
- Motivation to learn, grow, and become better everyday
- Willingness to follow pre-established policies and procedures
- Positive attitude and outwardly focused mindset
- Ability to pass frequent background checks in order to access U.S. military installations worldwide
- Willingness to strictly adhere to the company's drug-free workplace policies in accordance with the federal Drug-Free Workplace Act
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Ability to crouch, kneel, and perform repetitive motion
- Ability to grasp, reach, and perform fine finger manipulation
- Willingness to travel the world
- Willingness to work 24/7 on-call customer support on a rotating basis (one week out of every six weeks typical)
- Ability to talk, hear, and see (color determination)
- Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, and twist
- Ability to work at customer sites
- Ability to provide formal and informal customer training for installed solutions
- Ability to run cabling infrastructure within facilities
- Ability to safely mount/install proprietary hardware solutions
- Ability to support and configure Ethernet networks and network devices
- Ability to support proprietary Windows based software
- Ability to assist customers with technical issues over the phone and on customer sites
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test
