Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Systems/Software Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary engineering team within a cutting-edge defense startup. Responsibilities include team leadership, providing technical oversight and architecture guidance, managing project execution, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and overseeing system integration and validation. Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in embedded systems, robotics, or defense technologies, combined with proven leadership and project management skills.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional engineering experience
- At least 2+ years in an engineering leadership or management role
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, robotics, autonomous systems, or defense-related technologies
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and develop engineers
- Experience overseeing complex, multidisciplinary systems
- Strong project management instincts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Defense or Robotics Experience: Prior experience in defense systems, robotics, autonomous platforms, or safety-critical environments.
- Hands-On Engineering Background: Previous experience as a senior or staff-level engineer in embedded, firmware, or robotics systems.
- Scaling Teams: Experience building or scaling engineering teams in fast-paced startup environments.
- Systems Integration: Deep familiarity with integrating sensors, actuators, control systems, and real-time software into cohesive products.
