Job Summary
Lead/Principal Systems Integration & Test (SITE) Engineer for RF sensor systems in a Baltimore, MD site on a 3rd shift. Perform hands-on integration and testing of RF sensor systems (hardware, software, firmware), synthesize customer needs into system tests, develop and execute comprehensive test plans, participate in I&T readiness reviews, design reviews, and audits, coordinate testing activities (environmental, EMI/EMC, and occasional flight tests), review test requirements, analyze results and prepare reports. Collaborate with software/firmware/hardware teams to define test cases and develop test capabilities; support lab environment development and testing, system integration plans, and acceptance testing; require MATLAB proficiency, RF lab instrumentation experience, and strong cross-disciplinary communication. Requires DoD Secret clearance, US citizenship, ability to obtain SAP, relocation may be available, travel up to 10%, and availability to work 3rd shift onsite in Baltimore, MD.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of experience, or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline
- Active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to obtain/maintain Special Program Access (SAP) prior to start
- US citizenship
- Experience with RF lab test equipment (signal generator, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer)
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving HW/SW/FW integration problems
- Experience coding in MATLAB for coding, test scripting, data analysis, and signal processing
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Experience with environmental, EMI/EMC integration and testing
- Willingness to work 3rd shift and onsite in Baltimore, MD
- Knowledge of RADAR systems; firmware and hardware control integration planning and execution
- Experience developing scripts (Python) to automate manual processes
- Understanding of Systems Engineering concepts (requirements analysis and verification planning/execution)
- Ability to qualify for program access based on customer requirements (SAP/SAR)
