Job Summary
Program, modify, test, and debug algorithms and tables related to pricing and underwriting practices, including programming, testing, debugging, and documenting changes. Conduct analyses to assess potential impacts of modifications and ensure systems meet business standards. Collaborate with Actuarial, Underwriting, and IT teams to work through all project stages, provide guidance to users, meet deadlines, and communicate status reports. Develop assessments and make recommendations to improve processes for system development and maintenance while applying appropriate programming techniques to ensure data accuracy. This role supports the Digital Actuarial/Digital Underwriting – Commercial Insurance Systems team, requiring a 35-hour workweek with an in-office presence two days per week in Montréal, Laval, or Toronto.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science / mathematics or another relevant field
- An in-office presence is required 2 days per week
- Must be eligible to work in Canada from the anticipated start date and throughout their employment
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required
