Job Summary
Maintain and optimize essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, applications, servers, software, and hardware across two casino locations in Gardena. Proactively monitor systems to ensure 24/7 availability, implement redundancy and failover solutions, and quickly diagnose network, hardware, and software issues to minimize downtime. Design, deploy, and secure LAN, WLAN, and WAN networks while managing Windows servers, Dell hardware, VMware ESXi, and Veeam Backup & Replication. Resolve critical IT issues, enforce security protocols for PCI compliance, and coordinate with vendors for support and upgrades. Work outside regular hours to maintain continuous operations and travel between office locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to travel between both casino locations in Gardena as needed
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work in confined spaces like server rooms
- Flexibility to work outside of regular hours to maintain 24/7 network operations
- Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field preferred
- 5+ years in network or systems administration, ideally in a high-availability environment like a casino
- Hands-on experience with networking hardware (Cisco, Cisco Meraki) and software
- 2+ years with Cisco Meraki firewalls, switches, and access points
- Strong experience with Windows Server, Dell hardware (VxRail, vSAN), VMware ESXi, and Veeam Backup & Replication
- Proficiency in networking setup and configuration (switches, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, DNS, DHCP)
- Expert troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong understanding of IT security best practices
- Ability to travel via air and surface transportation, including travel between multiple offices
- Ability to lift to 40 lbs. and able to access tight spaces (e.g., under workstations and server rooms), climb ladders, kneel, and stand for extended periods
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with surveillance camera systems is a plus
- CCNA or other relevant certifications are a plus
