Job Summary
Conduct systems engineering to support weapon system design, integration, verification, and airworthiness certification across hardware and software platforms. Execute AFPD 62-6 USAF Airworthiness processes, manage OSS&E efforts, and perform risk assessments, safety analyses, and high-priority safety issue resolutions. Translate user requirements into system specifications, develop technical data for milestone approvals, and provide rapid response engineering support for critical supportability problems. Analyze equipment deficiencies, evaluate contractor recommendations, and assist in developing engineering cost estimates and system schedules. Maintain system integrity programs, update critical safety item lists, and ensure compliance with LCSE and airworthiness certification criteria throughout the life cycle.
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in an ABET-accredited engineering discipline
- Minimum of 15 years' functional area experience
- Independently demonstrate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) & Adobe Acrobat
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
